Who I Am

My name is Alexander Zhou. I am a fourth-year University of Toronto Student, majoring in Political Science, minoring in Latin American Studies and Sociology. My areas of focus are transnational crime, cybercrimes, politics of online platforms, and global security.

I began my OSINT journey completing volunteer geolocation work for the Bellingcat Discord at the onset of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, and have since branched out to conduct my own investigations.

Using my background in political science, I intend to go beyond traditional OSINT writeups by offering contextual analysis that explains how political dynamics lead to observed outcomes.

Follow along on my blog as I post breakdowns of the process!
